Dear L’After Families,

Winter is officially here, and it’s a cold one! I wanted to send a friendly reminder to please pack extra gloves, a hat, and even an additional pair of socks if your child is attending L’After. Many students spend recess enjoying the snow; sledding, building forts, and diving right in. We love seeing them embrace the winter fun, but it often means their gear is soaked by the end of the school day.

By the time L’After begins, students are eager to head back outside, but wet snow gear can make that difficult and uncomfortable. Teachers do their best to help students hang items to dry, but there simply isn’t enough time for everything to fully dry between recess and afterschool. Sending extra items will help ensure your child can stay warm, dry, and ready for more outdoor fun.

A quick reminder that dismissal is from 4:45–5:00 PM. We may not always be inside the building, as we sometimes take advantage of the winter weather to explore outdoors. We don’t want anyone waiting in the cold, so please plan to arrive during the dismissal window.
